The young man was a pilot, came home from college and want to take his grandfather for his first airplane flight. Grandpa was a hard working man but between being poor and a lack of opportunity to travel he had never been in an airplane. The flight took place and they circled around Mt. Saint Helen and it was a clear day and the views were a life time event. The older man occasionally spoke and it was, "Ah, Oh look, look."
After landing and heading toward the car to go home, the Grandpa said, "You know, someday we should go for a flight."
That is stage 4 of the 5 stages of Alzheimer. That is where John is today.
